A New Mural Celebrating Byblos’ Phoenician Heritage
Students from the Graphic Design Department at AUT have transformed the wall behind Byblos Castle into a vibrant mural inspired by Phoenician history and culture.
Blending colorful figures and modern shapes, the artwork connects the city’s rich past with its creative present. The mural reflects the spirit of Byblos, celebrating its maritime heritage, traditions, resilience, and cultural identity.
This project, created as part of the Fundamentals of Design II course, is a reminder that Byblos remains a city where history, art, and innovation come together.
